Open Plan Living
Home floor plans have evolved over many years.
The first concept of an open floor plan grew out of the 1960’s when a real movement away from compartmentalised rooms began. By the 1980’s rooms began to
flow into one another and a real taste for open plan living developed.
The concept of half-height walls and visual dividers allowed the modern family to converse and interact while remaining in their separate rooms.
Today, the open floor plan is still very fashionable, and the ability to design not just separate functional spaces but the relationship between these areas is
something the Ktchen Gallery excels at.
